About Mr. Sikora

Hi! I am looking forward to my fifteenth year of teaching at Whittier Elementary School! Although this is my first year teaching fourth grade, I have spent six years as a second grade teacher, three years as a third grade teacher, and five years teaching fifth grade! I am really looking forward to the challenge of preparing our students for their future! I am excited to help guide students as they are learning!

I am originally from a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania that is located about 45 minutes from Pittsburgh. I graduated in the spring of 2007 from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Elementary Mathematics. I am also certified to teach Middle School Mathematics. I have earned a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a Leadership Focus through McDaniel College. Additionally, I completed in 2017 an administrative internship at Whittier! I am looking forward to promoting leadership skills with the students!

Some of my favorite activities outside of school are spending time with my wife and our two children. Also, I enjoy fishing, boating, camping, and watching the Pittsburgh Panthers, Penguins, Pirates, and Steelers!
