I wanted to share a list of topics that we discussed during the fourth week of school! The topics include:
- Continuing to practice asking and answering questions, identifying the main idea and supporting details, and investigating vocabulary
- Discussing different ways we can begin a story
- Describing how we can add more details to our story
- Checking to see that we are writing a small moment story
- Investigating different regions around the United States to determine characteristics of vegetation, climate, natural resources, and landmarks
- Using clues and our knowledge of map elements to help us navigate around a map of the United States
- Using estimation to determine if the sum or difference is reasonable
- Fluently adding numbers up to 1000
- Building mental math and different strategies to solve problems
