Hi,
Welcome to the 2018-2019 school year! I enjoyed having the opportunity to meet the students last week! We spent time getting to know each other, established procedures, and discussed routines. I also liked observing the students as they completed the pedestal project. While working on this project, the students were active participants in their learning as they collaborated with peers in a small group. Additionally, the students worked on Math Practice #1: Make sense of problems and persevere while solving them. Many groups noticed that they needed to make changes to their initial design so they could complete the pedestal project successfully!
I hope the students enjoy the long weekend! I am looking forward to seeing them again on Tuesday!
