Unit 7 Family Resource Page

Good afternoon!

Our students have previously been working on adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators during our sixth math unit. Students are currently working on multiplying fractions in a variety of ways:

  • Whole number by a proper fraction (Example: 5 x 2/3)
  • Whole number by an improper fraction (Example: 6 x 3/2)
  • Fraction by fraction, both larger than 1 (Example: 1 2/3 x 3 3/4)
  • Fraction by fraction, both smaller than 1 (Example: 5/6 x 2/3)
  • Fraction by fraction, one larger than 1 and one smaller than 1 (Example: 1 5/8 x 3/4)

Students will be learning soon how to divide fractions. To view the Unit 7 Family Resource Page on multiplying and dividing fractions, please click on the following link: Unit 7 Family Resource Page!
